This summer we had the opportunity to travel a bit. We meet Grandma, Gramps, Tio Tyler, Tia Erin and Tio Lance in Des Moines for the weekend. We had a fun time at a water that Gramps' company designed. Devlin and I went on two business trips with Tia Erin. We spent a few days visiting Chicago and a week with her in St. Louis. For our last vacation,we rented a 30 foot Winnebago for 10 days to travel to Kansas and Oklahoma. It was great to have our own hotel on wheels. We got a chance to visit with family and friends. We attended my 20th Class Reunion. It was great to see how everyone had "turned out". What a busy and fun Summer we had!

The weather was perfect for outdoor play with friends. Grandma and Gramps visited from Kansas. And Devlin had his first ice cream cone!

We had a couple of busy months. Devlin was enrolled in the Toddler Tornado class at the Community Center that lasted eight weeks. Felipe and Devlin took a train trip to Milwaukee for a long weekend. Devlin loved riding on "Thomas the Tank Engine", aka Amtrak. Mom enjoyed her weekend, home alone as well.

Devlin and I flew to San Diego to visit Grandma and Tia Erin. We all had such a wonderful time! It was great catching up with the family. Devlin loved watching the boats from our 29th story hotel window and making forts with Tia and Grandma. We visited the San Diego Zoo, hung out at Ocean Beach, went whale watching at Carbillo National Park and much, much more! Thanks for inviting us Tia Erin!

Devlin celebrated his second birthday with a few friends-Oliver, Payton, Nicolas and Nathan. We turned the basement into a toddler play land with a castle jump-o-lene with over 200 balls, a roller coaster and various other fun toys. Devlin selected an Elmo themed party. Papa decorated the center piece-an Elmo carrot cake. Devlin thanked everyone for the wonderful presents. Some even got rewarded with hugs and kisses. We sure did have a great time!

We try to keep busy in the MN winter by playing at some indoor playgrounds.

We had two Christmas celebrations this year. The first was Christmas morning in Rochester with just the three of us. Devlin really enjoys opening presents. He especially loves his firetruck that Papa gave him. The next day, Devlin and I flew to KS for Christmas at Grandma and Gramps. Devlin sure had a wonderful time playing with his Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents plus all the new toys and books. He reads his Spanish books and plays ER every day. Elmo, his bears and I have been Dr.Devlin's patients and he is always looking for more.

Devlin and I flew to Seattle to visit Becky and Rick Collier-friends from Stephanie's KS Kroger days. We had a relaxing and fun time. Devlin especially loved all his time with Pablo (the dog). Thanks Becky and Rick for having us!
